A delegation of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) led by the space agency’s chairman S Somanath on Monday discussed ways to expand India-Bhutan space cooperation and deepen technical ties. The ISRO delegation met Bhutanese dignitaries, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, His Excellency Dr. Thandi Darjee.

Data from Bhutansat will be used to assess inland water quality, forest and biomass cover, snow and glacier cover, and the geology and hydrology of Bhutan. This will benefit the people of Bhutan.
